Current Consideration & Rapid Development

Tanyi (Tani) Dialects Digitization Project

A focused effort to record, transcribe, and structure speech and text datasets across Tani languages to train baseline AI models.

Preserving Linguistic Heritage

The Tani language family represents a major linguistic group in Arunachal Pradesh, encompassing Tagin, Nyishi, Galo, Apatani, Adi, and related dialects. This initiative focuses on systematic documentation, building parallel text corpora, and developing speech datasets for computational use.

This project is actively gathering contributions from native speakers and dialect experts to expand linguistic coverage and training data.
